In September 2024, the MLS® System recorded 637 unit sales and 4,465 active listings across all property types board-wide, representing increases of 16% and 24%, respectively.
In the single-family home category (excluding acreage and waterfront), 320 homes were sold, marking a 22% increase from last year but a 4% decline compared to August. Sales of condo apartments reached 69 units, down 19% year over year and 1% from the previous month. Meanwhile, 93 row/townhouses were sold, a 31% rise from one year ago and a significant 35% jump from August.
In terms of active listings, there were 1,586 single-family homes available in September, up from 1,173 in the previous year. VIREB’s inventory of condo apartments increased to 410 from 305 in September 2023. Additionally, there were 335 row/townhouses on the market, compared to 239 the year before.

September benchmark prices were as follows.
- Single-family – $777,600 (up 0.1% y-o-y)
- Apartment – $403,600 (down 2% y-o-y)
- Townhouse – $545,400 (down 1% y-o-y)
