The VIREB housing market experienced increased activity in April, with a total of 741 properties sold across all types. Specifically, sales of single-family homes (excluding acreage and waterfront) reached 376 units, a slight two percent drop from the previous year but a 29 percent increase from March. Condo apartment sales numbered 75, declining by one percent year-over-year and falling 11 percent from the previous month. Meanwhile, 83 row/townhouses were sold, decreasing by two percent from last year but rising by one percent from March. The active listings for single-family homes stood at 1,271 in April, a significant rise from 956 a year ago. Inventory for condo apartments was 381, up from 304 in April 2023, and row/townhouses had 368 units available, a notable increase from 246 the previous year.
